Hoodlums Steal an AK-47 From The Nkporo Police Station And Other Locations.

According to the Abia State Police Command, armed criminals who attacked Nkporo Police Divisional Headquarters in Ohafia Area Command on Sunday stole at least one AK-47 rifle containing 30 rounds of ammunition, two riot gunners, and some ammunition.

SP Geoffrey Ogbonna, the command’s spokesman, said in a statement that the criminals in three Toyota Sienna buses shot randomly, dislodged on-duty officers, broke into the station’s armory, and stole the items.

He claimed that the attackers also injured three police officers and stole uniforms from the offices and armory.

He continued, “However, the prompt collaboration of the police and the military resulted in the abandonment and recovery of one Toyota Sienna, as well as some service uniforms, shoes, and personal effects taken away from the policemen.”

Two of the injured police officers have been admitted to the hospital, and one has been treated and released.
