Ski Utah’s Best Local Resorts Skip The Lift Lines

If you’re planning a skip trip in Utah, you’ll have your choice of where to cruise the “greatest snow on earth.

According to Ski Utah, the Beehive state gets about one foot of snow every five days between December and March.

That comes out to 18 “powder days” per winter, most of which take place on one of Utah’s 300 bluebird days, all making for some pretty epic conditions.

Most out-of-state skiers fly into Salt Lake City and head to the east to Park City or, if they can swing it, Deer Valley, and for good reason.

Both resorts are close, offer great amenities and sweet terrain. However, if you’re looking for a local experience that has all the trappings of a great ski vacation minus the crowds, book these quieter mountains, and you better do it soon. The secret is already out.
