Political unity among descendants of Kwararafa – Taraba Council of Chiefs

According to Manu Ishaku Adda Ali, Chairman of the Taraba State Council of Chiefs, the national unity of Kwararafa descendants is not political but rather a demonstration of brotherhood.

When traditional rulers of Kwararafa extractions from the Northern and Central Taraba led by Kuru Kona, Mr. Augustine Vengkani, paid him homage in his palace in Wukari, the Jukun ancient capital, the paramount ruler, who is also the Aku-Uka of Wukari, made this statement on Friday.

To pay homage to the ruler, members of the Kwararafa Descendants Forum, led by its Chairman, Simon Da’Abe Shinpu, joined the monarchs.

He emphasized that descendants of Kwararafa live in 26 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, and that it is now necessary to foster unity and peaceful coexistence among them.

He stated, “My joy knows no bounds today, especially when I learned that there are two traditional rulers of Fulani extractions,” and he continued, “If there is no peaceful coexistence with your neighbours who belong to other tribes, there is no way the Fulani will accompany you to the palace.”

They have demonstrated that Fulani and Kwararafa descendants coexist peacefully in your domains; It is impossible to make use of the abundant natural resources in your area when there is no peace.

It is impossible to write a history of Nigeria without mentioning the accomplishments of Kwararafa’s vast empire.

Kwararafa nationalities were dispersed throughout the country as a result of numerous events, but brotherhood persists regardless of distance.

“The fact that the Kwararafa movements in the country have nothing to do with politics or religion makes me happy; because during its peak, Kwararafa was made up of people of various nationalities and religions,” the monarch stated.
