Nigerians Support Groups Apologise To Buhari-Osinbajo Dump APC

Under the aegis of the Buhari-Yemi Osinbajo Nationwide Supporters Group, supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari have asked Nigerians for forgiveness for “blindly supporting” the All Progressives Congress and putting in place an administration that has caused so much pain.

The group’s decision to join the People’s Democratic Party of the Opposition and work for the success of the Atiku-Okowa Presidential ticket was made public.

Yesterday, at a press conference in Abuja, Hon. Danjuma Fachiwe Gwoza, the National Coordinator of the Support Group, and other group members made this decision public.

He stated, “Under the directive of PDP Presidential Campaign Council cil (PCC), the members of the President Muhammadu Buhari/Yemi Osinbajo Nationwide Supporters Group wish to officially decamp and transmute her operations to the Atiku/Okowa Nationwide Supporters Group.”

“Our group is a formidable collection of political savvy, like-minded individuals made up of various supporters’ groups, such as: Organizations for Young Artists. However, our current membership count is 9,313,846.

“We made a significant contribution to the votes that were recorded by INEC, which led to the victory of Buhari and Osinbajo in the presidential elections in 2015 and 2019, respectively.

The members of this conglomerate sincerely apologize to Nigerians for supporting the bankrupt government led by the APC, which has failed to fulfill her campaign promise to voters. The nation is in an unbearable bind as a result of this massive failure.

“We hereby take this golden opportunity to express our gratitude for the group’s purposeful and profound leadership privilege granted by Distinguished Senator Abubakar Mahdi and Deputy Director General, Technology and System (PCC).

“In his admonishing statement, High Chief Raymond Dokpesi encouraged the group to work diligently to end this clueless era of the APC-led administration in Nigeria,” he said.

It continued: As a result, the group has started a Voters’ Education Program that trains people to teach voters. The goal is primarily to help the Atiku/Okowa campaign mercenary win elections.

“Our members are strategically situated throughout Nigeria’s thirty-six Federal Capital Territory (FCT), seven hundred seventy-four Local Government Areas, and electoral wards.

“The aforementioned mercenary had received the necessary electioneering training, which would ensure the desired win-win outcome for Atiku/Okowa in the upcoming presidential election in 2023.

The mandate of the group also targets the 93,454,008 Nigerians who might vote.

At the same time, workers working for the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) have backed Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, in the presidential election on Saturday.

Ambali Olatunji, the National President of NULGE, made the announcement yesterday in Asaba on behalf of the workers at the conclusion of 2023 NULGE Week, Delta State Chapter.

According to a statement, Olatunji, who was accompanied by the South-South Vice President, Owoanam Akpanwa, stated that workers were encouraged to support the Atiku-Okowa ticket due to their favorable attitude toward the country’s autonomy of local governments.

They also gave Chief Sheriff Oborevwori, a PDP candidate for governor and speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, their support, stating that the speaker possessed everything necessary to succeed Governor Okowa.

He made it clear that NULGE decided at its National Executive Council meeting that workers in the local government system should only vote for candidates who supported the autonomy of local government.

As a result of their support for local government autonomy, all local government employees have been instructed to vote for PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar and his running mate Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, as well as PDP gubernatorial candidate Speaker of State House of Assembly, he stated.

Ezeko Okwudi, the state NULGE chairman, stated that the annual NULGE Day was a celebration to evaluate the union’s performance.

He lavished praise on Okowa for his assistance to employees of the local government, which included resolving salary and promotion arrears by providing regular grants to local government councils.

State NLC Chairman Goodluck Ofobruku, TUC Chairman Martin Bolum, and his NUT counterpart Titus Okotie pledged the support of workers in the state for the presidential and National Assembly elections on Saturday in their goodwill messages. They also expressed their happiness with the Governor for his contributions to the welfare of workers.

NULGE gave the governor the title of “Best Workers’ Friendly Governor in Nigeria” in recognition of everything he did for the state’s local government workers.

In response, Okowa thanked state labor leaders for working with him during difficult times of his administration.
