Abidu Yazid the Chairman and Pro-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, was announced dead on Thursday in Abuja.
Malam Abidu Yazid Rafindadi was a Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the University of Ilorin, and he was announced Dead after a battling a brief illness.
Meanwhile His family, the Katsina Emirate, the Katsina State government, and the people of Katsina State have all been extended condolences by the university.
Therefore the school asked God for the strength to endure the irreparable loss in a statement released Thursday in Ilorin by the Director, Corporate Affairs, Kunle Akogun.
The late Mallam Yazid was a former Secretary for the government of Katsina State and was a highly respected public worker.
Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole (SAN), was appointed as the university’s new vice chancellor following a thorough selection process and his appointment was announced a fortnight ago (Thursday, September 8, 2022).
